Minister of Health Jonas Chanda has appealed to politicians to desist from politicking about the Covid-19 Vaccine and stop misleading the general public.
Speaking in an interview, Dr Chanda said the covid-19 Vaccine which will be in the country soon, is safe and will be beneficial to the nation. He said that their profession is being guided by science and people should have confidence in the Health workers.
Dr Chanda has assured the Zambian’s that the vaccine is safe and it will help protect many lives especially that the nation is entering the cold season.
“ My Fellow politicians I know that it is an election year, but I want to appeal to you to desist from politicking the Covid-19 Vaccine otherwise you end up being victims in ICU and no one will politick when you fail sick,” He said
He said the second wave is variant, deadly and aggressive and people should take it seriously if they have to fight it.
Dr Chanda said Zamra will ensure that the vaccine is safe, transparent and they be no compromise.
He said that they have done enough sensitization and there is need for behavior change from the general public.
Dr Chanda has appealed to everyone to come together and join hands in the fight against the global pandemic which has affected the whole world.
The Minister also encouraged the nation to continue adhering to health guidelines that have been put in place by the health authority.
