Kaindu urges Nkana to use home advantage

Nkana coach Kelvin Kaindu has demanded that his team utilises home advantage as they host Moroccan side Raja Casablanca in the CAF Confederation Cup Group D match on Wednesday night.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 18h00 from Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

In a pre-match interview, Kaindu said the match against Raja was crucial.

“We are coming from a defeat so we need maximum points at home. We need to take home advantage,” Kaindu said.

Nkana are bottom of the group with no point after allowing a 3-0 defeat in their opening match against Egyptian club Pyramids FC played in Cairo last week.

Raja coach Jamal Sellami has expressed confidence ahead of the Nkana match.

“Nkana will be strong tomorrow in their stadium but we have experience and some good players. We will try to get very good results,” he said.

Raja opened Group D action with a 1-0 win over Namungo of Tanzanian on home soil.

Namungo and Pyramids are facing off in the other Group D match to be played on Wednesday.
