Nchanga PF aspiring candidate Lighton Musonda says youths are a cadre of resilience who should take their rightful place.
In his Youth Day message, Mr Musonda said that often it is said that youths are the leaders of tomorrow but has a different view where he believes the youths are the leaders of today.
He said they are a cadre of resilient, resourceful and engaged generation.
“No doubt the youth have risen above the many challenges they face in their day to day life. The above reasons implore us to invest more in young people’s inclusion and participation in the social, political and economic development and management.
“I call upon the youths of Nchanga to take up the challenge of being participants in the economic and social engagement and become the engine of economic advancement, while at the same time advocate for an end to violence through the promotion of harmony. This year’s International youth day’s theme “Enhancing National Development through sustainable youth partnership” echoes my belief in creating sustainable projects for youths to become self-reliant, moving away from the status quo of creating a dependency syndrome,” he said.
He has implored youth of Nchanga to create a sustainable partnership that will result in the rebuilding of a middle class.
