Exciting Jumulo itching for National League promotion

By Mercy Chewe
FAZ Copperbelt Division One side Jumulo FC is itching to win promotion to the National Division One League.

Jumulo are leading the Copperbelt Division One League with 22 points after playing 8 matches.

Unbeaten Jumulo have recorded seven wins and one draw so far in the season.

Club coach Linos Makwaza said the Kitwe team is prioritising promotion to the National Division.

Makwaza is impressed with Jumulo’s fine form while cautioning his players to remain focused and disciplined.

“It is about teamwork and the quality of players I have found at Jumulo,” Makwaza said.

“We have told the boys that the main objective is to win promotion to the National League. The boys have understood and they know why they are playing football here,” said the former Nkana and Napsa Stars coach.

Makwaza admits competition is stiff in the Copperbelt Division One League which hosts legendary teams such as Ndola United, Roan United, Kalulushi Modern Stars and Mufulira Blackpool.
