Nkana, Power renew rivalry in Kitwe derby

The Kitwe local derby between archrivals Nkana and Power Dynamos is headlining this weekend’s action in the FAZ Super Division.

Nkana and Power are clashing heads on Saturday at Nkana Stadium in Wusakile, Kitwe.

The two teams are separated by two points on the table with Power sitting on 22 points from 17 matches while Nkana have played 15 matches.

Both sets of coaches are bubbling with confidence ahead of the biggest club football match in Zambia.

Power coach Perry Mutapa said:”It is a game I think you should look forward to. Every game is very important but I think this is a very big game especially that it is the biggest derby in the country.”

Nkana coach Kelvin Kaindu said: “It is a big game that is coming and we know how the fans feel about the derby. It is just unfortunate that there will be no fans in the stadium.”

This is the first meeting between the two Kitwe giants this season.
