Forest Rangers sponsors Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation (ZAFFICO) have appointed Charles Kapoma as interim chairman replacing Benhail Mukuka.
Mukuka, who succeeded Wilbroad Katema in 2018, has left the company after serving for two decades.
Under Mukuka’s regime Forest qualified to play in the CAF Champions League for the first time in their history after finishing second behind champions Nkana.
The Ndola side also clinched qualification to the ABSA Cup for the first time last season.
According to a statement issued by club media and public relations officer Christina Zulu, Kapoma bounces as chairman after serving in the same capacity between 2011 and 2014.
“The club remains confident that he will provide the necessary leadership required to propel the team to good performance,” Zulu said.
Kapoma is acting director of plantations at ZAFFICO.
He will lead the executive that also has Chota Ngalande as vice-chairman while Wisdom Musonda and Blessings Siame are secretary and treasurer respectively.
Nixon Mwansa, Ruth Chipasha, Oliver Chilufya, Lwiimba Mulombwa, Bwalya Mashilipa and Richard Kalasa are the other members of the executive.
