Nchanga Rangers Football Club has fired its head coach Bruce Mwape.

And news has it that has hired former Nchanga Rangers player Isreal Mwanza as head coach.

Nchanga Rangers Club Patson Nyirenda has confirmed the firing of Mwape.

“Nchanga Rangers seeks to inform its stakeholders, supporters and the football fraternity that the Club has mutually separated with Head Coach Bruce Mwape.

“The Club has also separated with Goalkeeper Trainer Yona Phiri, who was attached to Nchanga Rangers Football Club from the Zambia Police. The Club will announce the replacement for Coach Mwape within the week,” Nyirenda said

He said Nchanga Rangers Football Club places it on record that Mwape remains a respected legend of the Club despite the separation, which sometimes becomes inevitable in football.

“We would like to thank him for the part he played while in charge of Nchanga Rangers Football Club “Project Return”, which solely focus on bouncing back the team to the Super Division in the current campaign of the FAZ National Division One football season.

“We equally thank Coach Yona Phiri for his contribution to the development of our young goalkeepers. The Club wishes both coaches the very best in their future endeavours,” he said.

And news reaching The Independent Observer is that former Kansanshi Dynamos Head Coach Isreal Mwanza has dumped Chambishi Football Club for Nchanga Rangers Football Club.

Mwanza made history a few seasons ago when he became the first Coach in history to qualify Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club to the Zambian Super League.

He will be assisted by Enos Silwimba who once coached Rangers.
