Zambia’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Paul Mihova has mourned and expressed sympathy to Zambians Community following the death of Elias Phiri, Chairperson of Zambians Together, to COVID-19.
Lt. Gen Mihova has described Mr Phiri as a courageous Zambian who brought people together.
He acknowledged Mr Phiri’s contribution and commitment to the Zambian communities in the UK and around the world.
Gen Mihova said Mr Phiri was influential in leading several Zambian Diaspora community led organizations and groups in the UK and globally, with the core purpose of establishing and maintaining cohesiveness with Zambian communities around the world.
He said that Mr Phiri will be remembered for his charismatic nature and passion for bringing people together.
Gen Mihova said Mr Phiri’s leadership helped to strengthen mutual relations between Zambians Together and the Zambian government through the Zambia High Commission to the UK.
