Lufwanyama parley aspirant comes with education empowerment

Chilombo Education Empowerment Scheme (CEES) has empowered three youths from Lufyanyama with scholarships to study at Silver Maple in Luanshya.

The proprietor of the Scheme Henry Chilombo said youths in rural communities have challenges of entering into tertiary education.

Mr Chilombo said he has decided to lobby for scholarships for the youths because he has grown up and schooled in the area and knows the challenges when it comes to education.

He said a lot of people in the community contributed to his education and he also wants to give back to his community.

Mr Chilombo who is also aspiring as Member of Parliament for Lufyanyama said helping the youths who find it difficult to enter tertiary education by lobbing for scholarships is priority.

“We have already empowered youths from Bulaya, Chantete and Mukumbo Ward’s respectively,” He said.

He said education is the best empowerment for youths us they will also help they families, than handouts.

Mr Chilombo said the target was 400 youths who have completed school.

He said other pending scholarships are for those who will be going to St John’s in Mufulira.
