Spar Choma and Musokotwane Compassion Mission Zambia (MCMZ) have signed a goat supply contract for the leading super market to have goat meat.
Musokotwane Compassion Mission Zambia (MCMZ) Executive Director Sibbuku Genious Musokotwane said his organization is using agriculture as an income generating venture to address the fight against child marriage in Choma.
He said the signing of a supply contract with Spar Choma is a milestone achievement following government’s awarding the organization with capital enhancement of K300,000.00 for their goat breeding and supply project under the Presidential Multispectral Approach Youth Empowerment Fund.
Mr Musokotwane said his organization remains committed to effectively compete with other local farmers in securing favorable spaces in the shelves of international chain stores investing in Zambia.
And Spar Managing Director, Rebecca Buckette who was represented by Spar Choma Procurement Manager, Phatwell Hamaamba said the company is committed to empower local farmers.
MCMZ is among beneficiaries of the over K8million distributed Presidential Multisectoral Approach Youth Empowerment Fund which was launched on the 5th of January, 2021 by Minister of Youth, Sport and Child Development in Southern Province.
