Chingola District Education Board Secretary (DEBS) Noah Simulunga says Chingola has adequately prepared for the reopening of Schools next Week.
Speaking with The Independent Observer in an interview Mr Simulunga said Chingola District has put up all measures and health protocols in place.
“As the President declared the opening of schools, Chingola District is ready to open schools and we have put measures in place and all the health protocols are in place,” he said.
Mr Simulunga said that the district has provided teachers with personal protective Equipment (PPEs) to ensure that teachers are safe as they start teaching.
He said the learners through the President, the DMMU and other well wishes have provided the schools with face masks and hand sanitizers to ensure that learners are protected.
Mr Simulunga also said that schools have been provided with storage water facilities, wash basins for hand washing.
He said that the district has embarked on disinfecting of all the schools in the district in redness for Monday.
Mr Simununga said that the school environment is well organized and very different from any other places like the markets.
“Parents should not worry about the safety of their children because children follow instructions when there are in school.
“The Covid-19 situation is real and that can not hinder schools from opening because we don’t know when the pandemic will end,” he said.
Mr simununga has called on the parents and every one to come on board so that the situation can be handled together.
He finally urged the people of Chingola and the nation at large to follow the health guidelines that have been put in place by the health authority.
