PF Lufwanyama aspiring Parliamentary candidate Don Mungulube has cautioned youths to stop the habit of insulting leaders on social media.
Mr Mungulube said if youths want to be relevant, they should fight with ideas.
He said it is unfortunate that instead of using social media for good, others have taken it as a platform to exchange insults.
Mr Mungulube who is also PF Copperbelt Youth Chairperson said youths should tap in the empowerment of President Edgar Lungu who has shown his love for the youths.
He said the youths on the Copperbelt should be very happy that in the history of Heads of States in Zambia, only President Lungu has shown serious interest to meet the needs of the young people.
He said this when he led a delegation of the Copperbelt Provincial Executive on behalf of PF Chairperson Nathan Chanda to witness the unveiling of Melvis Chomba Mukupa as the mayoral aspiring candidate for Luanshya.
He said any member in PF is free to aspire for any position from Member of Parliament, Mayor, council Chairperson and Councillor.
Mr Mungulube however, said the position of President is taken as party on the Copperbelt has endorsed the presidential candidature of Edgar Lungu.
“So anyone in the party can aspire for MP, Mayor, Council Chairperson and Councillor. But for the position of President, here let me make it very clear, we have a candidate in place who as Copperbelt, we have endorsed is President Edgar Lungu. Am happy that even the District Chairperson for Luanshya has reemphasized that point, that we only have Edgar Lungu as candidate for President in the PF,” said Mr Mungulube.
He said the Provincial Executive will attend any meeting for any aspiring candidates for positions of Mayor, Council Chairperson and Councillor.
Mr Mungulube said the PF is a big family that has continued to grow due to the unprecedented levels of development in the country.
