PF on the Copperbelt mourns former Provincial  Chairperson Esther Banda

PF Party on the Copperbelt has expressed sadness over the loss of another party former senior member in the Province Esther Banda.

The Former Chililabombwe Patriotic Front party member of Parliament Hon Esther Mwila Banda died in Lusaka in the early hours of Sunday, 17th January 2021.

Ms Banda served as Chililabombwe Constituency PF Member of Parliament between 2006 and 2016.

After her re-election in the 2011, she was appointed Deputy Minister Local Government, Housing, Early Education and Environmental Protection.

In 2012, she became Deputy Minister in the newly created Ministry of Gender and Child Development.

In February 2015, Republican president Edgar Chagwa Lungu appointed her as Deputy Minister of Tourism and Arts.

She also held the position of National Women’s Chairperson within the Patriotic Front party after her appointment as Copperbelt PF Provincial Chairperson and member of Central Committee.

She was a dedicated, committed and hard-working Provincial Chairperson whom l worked with very well when l was a Committee member in the youth Wing.

In April 2017, Ms Esther Banda was appointed Local Government Service Commissioner, the position she held til her unfortunate demise.

The party is also saddened to learn of the passing on of one strong members in Masaiti, Mr Paul Litana.

The PF Party on the Copperbelt joins the nation in mourning our late mother and Mr Litana and prays for comfort and strength for the two bereaved families.
