Chingola Municipal Council has sent all workers home to pave ways for the people disnfecting the offices at the civic center.
Chingola Public Relations Officer Believe Kunda said the workers are exposed to a lot of people on a daily basis hence the need to disinfect.
Ms Kunda said this is to safeguard the lives of workers.
She said all Council officers will be disinfected by the end of this day.
Ms Kunda said the council have limited staff hence they will be a duty rota for workers during this period.
She said that workers will reporter for work by Friday January 15, 2020.
