Medical for Quality Healthcare in Zambia (MQHZ) has welcomed the move by Edgar Lungu for firing Heath Minister Chitalu Chilufya following a health scandal.
MQHZ Director General Quince Mwabu said the firing of Dr Chilufya sends strong signal to all public workers.
“We as an organization that promotes health quality in the country, we have welcomed this important move because it will send positive and strong signals to all public workers who extend the axe to the two permanent secretaries of Health and two Directors at Medical Zambia medicines and Regulations Authority ‘ZAMRA’ due to their incompetency and negligence,” he said.
MQHZ has congratulated Dr Janas Chanda for his new appointment as Health Minister.
