Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) vice presidential aspiring candidate Gideon Mwenya is saddened by the death of Joseph Nkole.
Mwenya said Nkole’s death is painful because he had so much to share in brightening soccer prospects in the country.
“I am beyond devastated to comprehend the news of the untimely passing of Nkole,” he said.
Mwenya said Nkole ensured that Zambian football was restored to where it belongs among the best on the continent.
“In the recent past, you were a father, compatriot, elder brother and above it all a comrade in the struggle to ensure that Zambian football is restored to where it belongs among the best on the continent.
“I’m broken beyond measure and engulfed in uncertainty to either continue with the fight or not,”said Nkole who is also Konkola Mine Police Club President.
Mwenya said he is inspired by the foundation that the deceased left behind.
“On behalf of Konkola Mine Police-KMP- we convey heartfelt thoughts in this time of sorrow to the family,” he said.
Nkole served as Exective Committee Member from 2004-2006 under Teddy Mulonga administration and also doubled as FAZ spokesperson.
