Ex-FAZ Super Division star Walter Bwalya has expressed his excitement after joining African football giants Al Ahly of Egypt.
Bwalya, the former Nkana captain, clinched a four-year-contract with Ahly on New Year’s Eve from another Egyptian club El Gouna.
The Congolese striker has this season scored five goals for Gouna to help them occupy top spot.
“I am happy to join Al Ahly,” Bwalya told the Ahly media in a short video message.
“Thank you for your support. Thank you all for your (congratulatory) messages,” he said.
Bwalya last season scored 13 times for El-Gouna after joining them from Nkana in 2019.
The robust striker established his career at Forest Rangers before joining Nkana in July 2015.
