Chililabombwe District Commissioner Roy Ngosa has urged the church in Chililabombwe to unite and work together in ensuring that the people live by Christian beliefs and values.
Mr Ngosa said the role of Christians is to ensure a peaceful nation that will allow the gospel to be spread to all the corners of the country.
The DC was speaking at the 29 celebrations of the declation of Zambia as a Christian Nation, he was joined by ,the Deputy Mayor Gift Vinkhumbu, the clergy, Councillors, Heads of Government and Parasternal Institutions at United church of Zambia Kamenza Congregation.
He said Christians should create awareness on the status of the country as a Christian nation.
“Today we appreciate that our President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has upheld this day for he acknowledges the role that christianity has played in the country. Let us therefore commemorate this day with love and unity under the theme “Sustaining Unity and peace in Divesity by the declaration of Zambia as a Christian Nation. from psalms 133:1 and Ephesians 4:3,” he said.
