A-25-year-old man of Livingstone has committed suicide by consuming a chemical used for dipping cattle after he allegedly had a marital dispute.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said Richard Kakungu of Kazungula suspected that his wife was having an extra marital affair.
Ms Katongo said that on December 27, 2020 at about 22:00 hours Kakungu went in his house and drunk the chemical.
She said the victim then went and informed his mother that he had decided to terminate his life because of his wife who he suspected had an extra marital affair.
Ms Katong said he was later rushed to Livingstone Central Hospital where he later died.
The body is in Batoka Hospital mortuary.
