Nchanga Rangers reclaim top four status

Promotion contenders Nchanga Rangers are back in the top four of the FAZ National Division One after a 2-0 win over Police College in Lilayi, Lusaka.

Nchanga thumped Police College 2-0 on Saturday thanks to goals inked by strikers Friday Konga and Mangani Phiri.

Fourth placed Brave have 19 points, four points behind leaders Kansanshi Dynamos after 11 matches played.

Police are second from the bottom with seven points from 11 matches played.

Leaders Kansanshi are crossing into the New Year with a one point lead at the top after Erick Yema’s late goal handed them a 1-0 win over Trident in the North Western affair in Solwezi.

Kansanshi have 23 points after playing 11 matches.

Meanwhile, Mufulira Wanderers have been thumped 3-1 by second placed Kafue Celtic in Lusaka.

Striker Maxwell Mulutula scored a hat-trick at the OYDC to see Celtic stay second on 22 points after 11 matches played.
