Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) Principal Trust Schools Mabvuto Ng’ona has urged graduands from both Konkola Trust Secondary and Nchanga Trust Secondary Schools to be responsible citizens as they go into society.

Speaking when he officiated at both graduation ceremonies and merit awards for outstanding performances for grade twelves and nines held last week Thursday, Mr Ng’ona told learners to uphold the discipline instilled in them and act responsibly because the future lie in their hands.

He also reminded the graduands to turn challenges into opportunities even as they embark on the new journeys into universities and higher learning institutions.

“You are the future leaders of tomorrow and we are proud of your achievements so far, but do not relax instead push harder until you climb up the ladder, the principal narrated.”

And Parent Teachers Association (PTA) Treasurer Collins Hasalama explained that learners must not attribute their failure to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Mr Hasalama said the pandemic gave learners an opportunity to study from home via use of other numerous learning platforms.

He encouraged the merit award recipients to keep aiming high even as they go for tertiary education and beyond/KCM.
