2 minors die in a locked car

Two minors have died in Livingstone in a locked car.

Deputy Police Spokesperson Danny Mwale said Police in Livingstone received a report of Sudden and Unnatural death involving two minors aged 3 and 5 years respectively.

Mr Mwale said Manase Choongo and Joe Mubita died in a motor vehicle which was packed at Choongo’s resident.

He said that the car was parked by a friend to Choongo’s father and the car developed a mechanical fault.

Mr Mwale said the two juveniles were playing in the car and were only discovered dead.

He said that at a time of the Incident, the vehicle in question had all the doors and windows closed

This occured on November 27, 2020 at Kabila Village in Livingstone District.

Mr Mwale said Police have opened an inquiry file and the bodies of the victims have been deposited in Batoka Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
