Police in Kazungula have arrested a 36 year-old man for killing his 62 years old wife, following a domestic dispute in the early hours of today.
Southern Province Police Commissioner Bonny Kapeso confirmed the development to The Independent Observer he said that Masilingi Mashekabo of Mambova village, killed his wife by beating her using a paddling stick after a marital dispute.
Mr Kapeso said the couple is said to have been married for two years without children.
He said the incident occurred around 01:30hours in Kazungula early this morning.
The Commissioner identified the deceased as Sarah Samapande 62, of the same address
The suspect has been charged with murder and will appear in court soon.
