ECZ should stop disturbing registered voters with texts

Dear Editor
I wish to write to the Electoral Commission of Zambia to stop disturbing registered voters with reminders to go and register as voter when infact we have already registered and actually have voters cards.
The messages coming on our phones so many times daily are so irritating that some times you even stop what you are doing to just check the phone thinking it is an important message only to find it is a reminder by ECZ.
ECZ should have gone a milestone to use ICT personal who were developing the system to have married the NRCs of those who have registered to the system so that only those not registered could be receiving these messages, not everybody.
It is that simple with the right ICT personal in place than us complaining of these irritating messages and also the time spent on the queues to register. Does it mean there was no dummy piloting of the system?
It is my earnest appeal that ECZ will out rightly look into this and stop these messages irritating us the already registered voters.
