A Police Officer has died on the spot after he allegedly shot himself with a fire arm in Solwezi .
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said Constable Justin Shiloto of Kabompo Police Station is alleged to have shot himself yesterday around 15:00 hours.
Ms Katongo said Police in Solwezi are investigating the shooting.
She said the body of the victim is in the mortuary awaiting burial.
Meanwhile a nine-year-old grade two pupil at Mayengu primary school in North western Province was killed by a crocodile.
Ms Katongo said Chiteta Muzhinga died a sudden and unnatural death whilst swimming with her friends on the Zambezi River she was caught by a crocodile and dragged in the deep waters.
She said the body has not been found yet and a search has continued.
