Kitwe Council warns traders of liquor at Chingola road cemetery

By ALICE NACHILEMBE
Kitwe City Council has warned some unscrupulous people who have resorted to trading in liquor at Chingola Road  cemetery.

KCC Public Relations Officer Tamara Mwanza said that all traders at Chingola Road Cemetery illegally trading in liquor and makeshift restaurants should desist from this act.

Ms Mwanza said the act is illegal.

She said the Local Authority will not condone such behavior because it is a breach against public health guidelines and in particular Liquor Licensing Act no. 20 of 2011.

Ms Mwanza said the local authority has since advised traders to vacate from the cemetery and failure to which, enforcement will be executed which includes being taken to court.
