Nsobe Game Camp owner Mark Thomson has shot himself dead.
Copperbelt Police Commissioner Charity Katanga confirmed the shooting and said Thompson was rushed to the hospital where he was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) but died 24 hours later.
“Yes, I can confirm that he committed suicide. He shot himself and was in ICU and died 24 hours later,” she said.
She said the pistol he used to shoot himself was in police custody for investigations.
Nsobe Game Camp is on a privately-owned farm in Masaiti and is a popular spot for most Copperbelt residents for weddings and other functions. The Game Camp is also popular for fishing activities and boat cruises.
