Mutati lunches new party

Former Finance Minister Felix Mutati has launched a new political party  called ‘Movement for Democratic Change’ (MDC).

During the launch in Lusaka, Mr Mutati said among the main objectives of MDC will be to repair the perception of Zambia both locally and internationally as well as address debt which is currently Zambia’s biggest challenge.

Mr Mutati who is former MMD president has brought on board former Solwezi central Member of Parliament Lucky Mulusa as party Secretary General, former ZCTU president Leonard Hikaumba as vice president politics, economist Trevor Simumba as Chairperson for Commerce.

Others are former Bank of Zambia Director Sherry Thole as vice president Administration and former ambassador Joyce Musenge as deputy Secretary General.
