Nkhuwa’s wife donates to Life Gospel Ministries

By JOHN SAKALA
Wife to Chingola Member of Parliament Matthew Nkhuwa, Rose has donated K5, 000 to Life Gospel Ministries International Lulamba congregation.

The donation is for the purpose of constructing a new Church branch in Lulamba Township.

Speaking when she made the donation this afternoon, Mrs Nkhuwa said she was contacted by Pastor Mable Chembe shepherding the Lulamba branch for help with some empowerment funds.

She said initially, Pastor Chembe had requested for empowerment for the women in her church but today when she went to handover, she was told the money will be channeled towards the construction of the church branch.

Mrs Nkhuwa said building a house of God was another noble cause which she couldn’t resist to be part of.

“Mr Nkhuwa does not segregate whether you are UPND, MMD, a clergy, marketeer, Taxi or bus driver, he helps whoever is in need. For sure building a church is a mega project which requires blocks, sand, cement, concrete stones but my coming here was specifically for empowerment.

“However, the people who voted for Mr Nkhuwa are members who congregate with various churches of their choice, no wonder he can’t hesitate to help. The Church shelters all of us because we all have spiritual need. When you finish building, don’t hesitate to invite Mr Nkhuwa to congregate with you because he is flock with spiritual needs like other sheep,” she said

And in receiving the money, Pastor Chewe thanked the Nkhuwa’s for the support rendered towards the construction of the Church.

She said they were initially congregating in class where they were renting at K200 per month but following the outbreak of coronavirus they started congregating at the Cathedral.
