The Managing Director for Northwestern Water Supply and Sanitation Arnott Chilwesa has been fired.
The Board Chairperson Christabrl Ngimbu said Mr Chiselwa had his contract terminated for underperformance.
Ms Ngimbi said in the meantime the Director of Engineering John Chilufya will be acting Managing Director and Maintenance Manager Mfalo Nanyama will now be acting as Director of Engineering.
But sources told The Independent Observer that there had been reports of financial irregularities at the water utilities.
Mr Chiselwa had earlier appeared in the Auditor General’s report for financial irregularities.
And recently about few days ago, the utility regulator National Water Supply and Sanition Council (NWASCO) visited the utility for inspection and again financial irregularities came to the fall.
