About one hundred and sixty-nine thousand, one hundred and twenty-two people have been issued with National Registration Cards during phase one of the Mobile National Registration Cards exercise.
Minister of Home Affairs Stephen Kampyongo said the number includes those who are receiving for the first time and those who have replaced their NRCs.
Mr Kampyongo said Copperbelt has the highest number at over fifty-five thousand followed by Luapula where about forty-seven thousand people have been issued with NRCs.
The Minister was speaking during a media briefing he said the number of people obtaining NRCs has kept going up due to increased sensitisation.
