Chingola Mayor Titus Tembo has issued a stern warning to the people who are pulling down street lights along Chingola -Chililabombwe road.
Mr Tembo said once the suspects are caught, he will ensure that they face vandalism charges.
He that the past week, six street lights have been pulled down and batteries removed and the solar panel destroyed.
He said people should not watch lawlessness, instead they should report the culprits to the police.
Mr Tembo urged police at Solwezi turnoff to be vigilant.
He said that the Council will see how best they will secure the street lights for replacement.
