I won’t promote idle mind in my ward-Kabundi Civic leader

Kabudi Ward Councillor Brian Banda has told Mupaka Women Club to be industrious and not to just stay at home.

Mr Banda said staying home will kill the women productivity thereby inviting poverty in their families.

He said women should be thinking of ways to improve the lives and homes.

He was speaking when he met Mupaka women’s club one of his initiated women club in his ward.

The Councillor said that women should be organised and put in effort to improve their families.

Mr Banda said development comes with effort in all your works including small beginningsh.

He said women should be empowered to help their families.

“Don’t seek for handouts as empowerment but something more sustaining that wil improve your livelihood,” he said.

Mupaka Eomens club Chairperson Maureen Kasolo thanked the Councillors for the help he has rendered to the club.

Ms Kasolo said the club has not just been sitting idle but they have project of selling salt and making local drink Mukhoyo to help them moving forward.

The councillor left K1, 000 with the women to boost the club coffers.
