Chingola has two confirmed cases of Covid-19

The country has recorded two more positive cases of Covid-19 (corona) from 459 tests done in 24hrs.

The duo is a couple from Chingola that had traveled to Tanzania.

The Minister of Health Chitalu Chilufya announced this during the Covid update this afternoon.

Dr Chilufya said that the husband went to Tanzania through the train to get his consignment from Dar-salaam in Tanzania on March 25, for two weeks.

He said that the man later met up with is wife in Nakonde and stayed there for three days and later came back to Chingola.

“They went back on the April 15, and were in self quarantine, but right now they have been taken to Masaiti the Copperbelt quarantine centre,” he said.

The minister said that they are tracing the contacts that could have come in contact with the two persons.
