Eastern Province Minister Makebi Zulu says that there is little that government can do over the hike in sanitizers and other products used for protection of Coronavirus.
Speaking during a live radio programme on Breeze FM yesterday, Mr Zulu said that businesses that deal in sanitizers and gloves cannot be controlled.
“That this is why government is encouraging people to observe high standards of hygiene so that they do not get infected with Coronavirus. I can also reveal that the four people who tested negative after being quarantined and tested for Coronavirus have been discharge,” he said.
He said that none of those with confirmed Coronavirus quarantined in Lusaka are from Eastern Province.
The minister also explained that he is in daily contact with the immigration Department to ensure that borders are properly managed to stop illegal immigrants.
