He was driven away from people and ate grass like cattle.
His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails were like birds’ claws.
King Nebuchadnezzar was the person who found himself in the above predicament.
A warning was given, then came helpful advice and punishment followed.
Most likely, the above sequence could have been different had the king embraced Daniel’s advice.
Nebuchadnezzar’s greatness had grown, his dominion extended to distant parts of the earth and pride crept in.
The downfall of king Nebuchadnezzar was announced through a dream he had.
(Check DANIEL 4:19-26)
Daniel interpreted the dream the king had and went further by giving good advice to the king.
“Therefore, O king, be pleased to accept my advice: Renounce your sins by doing what is right, and your wickedness by being kind to the oppressed. It may be that then your prosperity will continue.”
(DANIEL 4:27)
King Nebuchadnezzar disregarded Daniel’s advice and forgot his pending predicament-being driven away from people and live with wild animals.
If this leader had accepted Daniel’s advice, may be his prosperity would have continued.
When good advice is disregarded, disgrace is invited.
Demotion is among the end results of disregarding good advice or counsel.
Nebuchadnezzar lost his esteemed position.
