UPND has welcomed the firing of Special Assistant to the President for Political Affairs Kaizer Zulu.
UPND Secretary General Steven Katuta said the firing of Mr Zulu is long over due as he has committed many a atrocities against the people of Zambia and he had became the talk of the country because of his notorious behavior.
Mr Katuta said President Lungu has seen what people where saying about Mr Zulu.
He called for sanity at State House without President Lungu shielding criminals.
Mr Katuta said the firing of Mr Zulu is the right move as he is not fit to move freely among society.
“President Lungu has now seen sense in what the people of Zambia have been saying. He cannot be shielding criminals like Mr Zulu. That man is not fit to live freely in society,” he added.
And Mr Katuta has advised the newly appointed Assistant to the President for Political affairs Chris Zumani Zimba to conduct himself in a manner befitting a public worker as he will be answerable to society.
He said Mr Zimba should realize that his appointment is to serve the people Zambia and not to serve the President Lungu or the Patriotic Front party.
“Mr Zimba should be mindful that he is taking over drink a notorious criminal and he never step in the shoes of his predecessor. He will be answerable to the Zambian people. And Zambians expect him to respect the people who have given him that job,” he said.
