FAZ aspiring president Blackwell Siwale has proposed that Football House suspends the ongoing process of recruiting the new Chipolopolo coach until elections are held next March.
Currently Green Eagles coach Aggrey Chiyangi is leading the National Team in an interim capacity.
Speaking to The Independent Observer, Siwale said the job of recruiting the new coach should be left to the new FAZ Executive Committee that will be elected at next year’s AGM.
Siwale said if the Andrew Kamanga led FAZ hires a coach it may be tough for him to continue working in case of changes in the leadership after elections.
The former Nchanga Rangers president said Chiyangi can continue acting because there are no competitive matches between now and August 2020.
Siwale said the executive that would be put in office in March 2020, would have a four year mandate in which they can hire a coach to propel Zambia to glory.
Zambia will only return to competitive action on August 31, 2020 when they will face Botswana in the 2021 Africa Cup qualifier.
