NUSAZ signs an MoA with DBK consultancy

By ALICE NACHILEMBE
The National Union of Small Scale Farmers of Zambia (NUSAZ) has signed a partnership agreement with DBK Management Consulting Limited Business solutions provider.

This is to enhance union members with requisite capabilities that will grow their farming business and create market linkages.

DBK Management Consulting Limited Founder and Managing Partner David Kaunda said the partnership is evident that small scale farmers make a significant contribution to food production in the country.

Mr Kaunda said small scale farmers continues to be on the same scale of development with little or no growth from the business point of view.

He said that small scale farmers are impacted negatively by various challenges which will need to be resolved by some of the solutions and interventions which DBK will implement.

“The relationship will produce a new model in the development of this farmer group into an economic force that will make a sustainable contribution to the economy and livelihood of members,” he said.

NUSFAZ Acting Executive Director, Noel Simukonde said they are enthralled with the collaboration of how DBK Management Consulting and its sister companies are able to coordinate the activities that will make it possible for NUSFAZ to attain the goals of the association.

He said the union now seeks to see how what has been agreed upon could be developed through knowledge exchange and technological advancement for the farmers.

He said the MOA is a major achievement that will be priority for the union going forward, considering the strategies and models proposed in the framework of the partnership that will help boost farmers’ productivity.

The MOA will run for an initial period of two years, with a provision for extension.
