Police picks an amputated leg

Police in Lusaka have picked an amputated left leg at Garden site three area near the sewer ponds .

The lower limb was found with some fresh blood and part of it was bandaged.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said the police were patrolling the area yesterday, 17th September, 2019 at about 16 40 hours when they found the leg.

Ms Katongo said  the leg was found next to a black plastic and it is suspected that the discovered leg could have been wrapped on the same polythen after amputation and later disposed it off.

She said the leg has been taken to UTH mortuary for custody while investigations have been instituted.
