The Zambia Police Service in Eastern province has appealed to people who will be attending this year’s Malaila traditional ceremony in Mambwe district at the weekend to conduct themselves in an orderly manner.
Meanwhile, the Police has deployed adequate manpower to provide security during the festivity in an effort to record an incident free ceremony.
Speaking to Feel Free news in an interview, Eastern province commissioner of police, Luckson Sakala is calling on patrons to desist from engaging in activities that would endanger their lives.
Mr Sakala has also urged drivers to avoid drunken driving, saying it leads to serious fatalities.
