The Chingola based jerabo Isaac Chiwasha 39 has died after he was set ablaze by rival gang.
And immediately elements of misbehavior has erupted with bus drivers loading for Kitwe moving from Mwaiseni into town at Total Filling station.
And there are NO buses in town heading to Chiwempala and Lulamba.
All are parked and people are stranded only a few taxis are heading to the west of Chingola.
Chingola Mayor Titus Tembo is angered that some residents and irresponsible Radio Station are spreading fake rumors that Victor Phiri 20, popularly known as C4 has escaped from Chingola Correctional Facility.
Armed riot police have gone to the four radio stations in Chingola namely: Kokoloko, Rise, Shekinah and I-wave probing which one made weird rumours.
Some mothers in Chiwempala and other townships were disembarking from buses when the rumour went round that C4 had disappeared from the remand.
“We went to collect our children from school for their safety was not guaranteed with rumours we heard of C4 escaping from remand,” one mother told The Independent Observer.
Mr Tembo said that it is irresponsible for motorists and residents to take advantage of the volatile situation to disturb the peace of the city.
He called on police to arrest any would be offender.
Debra Richie died around midnight after battling with 40 per cent fire burns.
The Mayor who confirmed the death of Debra to The Independent Observer said the incidence was regrettable.
Mr Tembo said the situation in Chingola is peaceful but buses are not moving, the issue he said was being handled by police and his office.
Two bus drivers have been arrested in trying to load from Total Filling Station.
Debra Richie of 23 Chimwemwe Road in Chiwempala’s Sub-superior was burnt by his rival jerabo gang in the early hours of Friday May 26, around 04:00 hours.
He was rushed to Konkola Copper Mines Nchanga South Mine Hospital but this morning succumbed to fire burns,
Flammable substance was thrown in Debra’s house through his bedroom window.
Four people were arrested in connection with the same arson which has turned out to be now murder.
