Dr Chilufya urges private sector to partner Govt

Mansa central Member of Parliament Chitalu Chilufya says government is concerned with conditions in most of the country’s correctional facilities that he describes as not healthy for human beings.

Dr Chilufya who is also Minister of Health and PF member of the central committee has since urged the private sector to partner with government in order to improve such conditions.

The MP has also thanked President Edgar Lungu for his concern about inmates that has culminated in building more ultra-modern correctional infacilities in many parts of the country.

Dr Chilufya was speaking when he donated various items that include food and 100 Mattresses worth 50 thousand kwacha to Mansa correctional service.

Meanwhile, Mansa correctional services officer in charge superintendent Helen Chanda said the donation will go a long way in improving the living standards of inmates.

And Luapula Province Minister Nickson Chilangwa says government will continue to develop the country by putting up infrastructure that will improve the well-being of Zambians including the inmates.
