UPND leadership intact and unshakable

United Party for National Development (UPND), has dispelled rumors circulating on social media that HH has intentions of replacing Dr Geoffrey Mwamba with National Democratic Congress (NDC) consultant, Chishimba Kambwili.

UPND Media Director Ruth Dante said the rumors are false and can’t be further from the truth.

Ms Dante said the lies and unwarranted insinuations are, obviously from the PF who true enemies of democracy.

She said despite party’s attempt at clarifying this matter in categorical terms, PF, through its surrogates and bootlickers have continued to misrepresent facts on the good relationship between President, Hakainde Hichilema and his Vice, Geoffrey Mwamba.

“It is not surprising, though, that the PF, which has continued to sow seeds of divisions in the country by becoming authoritative in their governance style, want to incite and champion divisions in the UPND with the sole aim destabilizing the Party. It will not work. Already, it is in public knowledge that the PF has managed to interfere and cause confusion in the media, Zambia Police Service , Electoral Commission of Zambia, higher institutions of learning and Civil Service, markets and bus stations and many other areas,” she said.

Ms Dante said UPND’s focus is not 2021, but on Social protection for the majority of the aged and vulnerable people whose funds are abused by PF for their own selfish ends The records are there.

She said UPND takes education as an equalizer and will strive to build a generation of employable and resourceful youth.

Ms Dante said President Edgar Lungu and his Government should come out in the open and tell the Zambian people why they are suffering because they are paying taxes but struggling to live decent lives.

She said PF has all their focus on HH and GBM forgetting the untold misery of the majority of Zambian women who wake up early to fetch water and food to feed their families.
