Nakonde Milling Limited in Muchinga Province has partnered with Vichili Vikwiza to stabilise mealie meal prices in the area.
Speaking in Nakonde , Nakonde Milling director Abuid Simaye said mealie meal prices which had reached 130 Kwacha per 25 kilogramme bag of breakfast mealie meal are bound to reduce.
Mr Simaye said they are selling mealie meal at a wholesale price of 100 Kwacha and traders are expected to sale at a retail price of 110 Kwacha.
The Nakonde Milling director said his company is grateful to Government for allowing them buy maize grains from the Food Reserve Agency (FRA) for mealie meal production saying this will go a long way in stabilising mealie meal prices in the town.
