A-29-year-old Taxi driver of Chingola has been killed by unknown people who had booked him from Chingola to Luanshya and later dashed out with his car.
Copperbelt Commissioner of Police Charity Katanga has confirmed the killing of Joseph Mutale Mulenga Jr who was booked on April 1, 2019 from Chingola to Luanshya.
Ms Katanga said Mulenga Jr of house number 4272 has Chikola Loop area had been working for Benkey Malambo for over eight years before he met his fate.
She said the Taxi twas stolen after killing the driver.
The stolen Taxi was three months old from the date it was bought from Japan.
Ms Katanga said that it was easy to identify Mutale Jr that he was from Chingola because after searching the body, contacts and documents for the members of the choir he sings with from Chabanyama, including for the Pastor were found on him.
“The body was found in Roan in Luanshya. Investigations have been instituted to bring the suspects to book. A docket of aggravated robbery has been opened,” she said.
