Suspended PF Ndola district youth chairman Oscar Himaanga has pleaded not guilty to smuggling of mealiemeal to the DRC.
Himaanga, who is PF Kamba ward Councillor in Chifubu is charged with Kombe Musonda a Constituency official.
The duo are charged with one count of assembling bags of mealie-meal in Kawama for the purposes of smuggling into the
neighbouring Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
When the duo appeared before Principle Resident Magistrate Obbister Musukwa at Ndola magistrate court, friday they pleaded not guilty to the charge.
It is alleged that the duo whilst acting with other persons unknown, on January 23, did assemble 70 bags of mealie- meal for the purposes of smuggling them into DRC.
Magistrate Musukwa adjourned the matter to February 21, this year for commencement of trial.
