Four people riding on one motor bike have died on the spot when speeding Alteza swept them to death.
Boniface Nsama 31, together with three pillion riders (passengers) were having a feel of the new Pajaja unregistered motor bike when they were crashed to death by a speeding Alteza.
They were hit from the back and they flew through the front wind screen and came out from the rear wind screen.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo who has confirmed the road accident to The Independent Observer, said the quartet was killed by the speeding Alteza which hit them from the back.
Ms Katongo said the accident happened on January 26, around 23:00 hrs on the Chingola-Solwezi road around Mupitashi area.
She said Gift Silebo 34, a Social Welfare Officer at Mushindamo District did hit Mr Nsama and three others on the motor bike with his Alteza Reg No. ATB 3684.
Ms Katongo said Mr Nsama sustained fatal head injuries and the pillion riders Alex Mbayo 21, suspected broken neck and left leg, Andrew Kasampa 20, sustained deep cut on left hand and bruised body and Leonard Banda 21 had a bruised body.
The quartet was all of Mupitshi area and they died on the spot.
“The bodies are in Solwezi General Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem while Silebo of St Dorothy area will be charged with four counts of causing death by dangerous driving,” he said.
Silebo with his Alteza, Mr Nsama and the pillion riders were all coming from Chingola direction heading to into Solwezi direction.
