The difficult aspect of telling a lie is that you will need to be a historian to remember what you had said elsewhere the other day in order to be consistent with a lie.

The same highest institution of the land has been issuing contradictory statements regarding social cash transfer which saw the fall of Emerine Kabanshi.
At the peak of the event Community Development Minister Emerine Kabanshi was fired by President Edgar Lungu together with Zam Post Chief McPherson Chanda for alleged misappropriation of the same funds.
The misappropriation of the social cash transfer didn’t sit well with donors who immediately demanded for refunds.
In order to save face State House through its Spokesperson Amos Chanda made a u-turn saying the money was not misappropriated, rather it was comfortably sitting in the Zanaco account.
The £2.7 million which Britain’s Department for International Development (DFID) has not been touched and is intact in a Zanaco Account he told the nation.
Govt can confirm that the allegedly stolen DIFD Cash Transfer contribution, which was sitting in ZANACO Bank has been returned back to DIFD upon their request.

Whatever was done for this alleged cover up, money was paid back DFID.
But yesterday President Lungu shocked every normal person when he directed investigative wings to speed up the probe into the alleged misapplication of the social cash transfer money so that perpetrators can be made answerable.
It seems State House statements aren’t correlating and this may force citizens to begin making assumptions because it seems someone is being economical with truth.
Was the money misappropriated or it was comfortably siting in Zanaco account?
Where did the money come from which was used to pay DFID if the President is still demanding for a probe into the matter?
