Dear Editor,
I write to appeal to Chingola Municipal Council to emulate other Councils around the Country that have taken bush clearing of cemeteries seriously.
The thicket surrounding the cemetery has posed serious danger to surrounding areas and passersby where thugs are hiding to commit all kinds of atrocities unabated.
People are being beaten day and night while murder and rape cases have been reported in recent times.
If the municipality have no manpower for the clearing of the bush surrounding the cemetery, let them engage other councils that are doing it to learn how they are doing it.
It is however unquestionable to see a lot of council employees loitering by Civic Centre doing nothing when they can be delegated to do the clearing.
It is for this reason that I appeal to Chingola Municipal Council to be a working Council as opposed to a talking one.
